2015 Cadillac XTS vs 2015 Audi A6
The 2015 Cadillac XTS is currently the flagship sedan of the Cadillac lineup, though the upcoming CT6 will take over that spot. But as the flagship, it represents the premium in terms of power, interior space, luxury features and capability. We wanted to see how it measured up against another iconic luxury vehicle that is generally mentioned in the same circles as competitors, so we took a closer look at the 2015 Cadillac XTS vs 2015 Audi A6.
Both of these vehicles carry a luxury-sport connotation with them, as evidenced by their high power ratings. While the A6 outpaces the XTS just slightly, it isnt enough to translate to much of a noticeable difference on the road. So in terms of power, both are fairly equal, as we can corroborate by both having recorded 0-96 km/h times of 5.2 seconds.
Advantages of the Cadillac XTS
There are, however, other advantages that the Cadillac XTS has over the popular Audi A6 that do make it more of an obvious choice. Just in terms of space, Cadillacs current flagship trumps the A6 in both cargo capacity and passenger volume within the cabin. The trunk of the XTS can hold precisely 18 cubic feet of your luggage or anything else you need to bring along, while the A6 can only hold just over 14 cu. ft. As for the cabin, you and your passengers will have 7 extra cubic feet of space to move around in, giving everyone a more comfortable ride.
Another advantage that XTS has over the A6 is the ability to tow. You might not have many reasons to tow things behind your luxury sedan, thats what they build utility vehicles for, but its always nice to have that ability just in case you end up needing it. Being able to carry 1000 lbs. behind the Cadillac XTS is something we definitely consider an advantage, considering the Audi A6 cannot tow at all.
