2015 GMC Sierra 1500 vs 2015 Ford F150
Were not positive why the GMC Sierra gets lost in the battle for truck-world domination. The truck wars are most often headlined by the Chevy Silverado, Dodge RAM and Ford F150, which are all great trucks. But the thing gets us, is that the Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 are essentially the same truck. Sure, they have a different face and their own individual styles, but beneath the hood and pretty much all other specifications are nearly identical. Perhaps the Sierra doesnt get as much recognition for the simple fact that GMC isnt quite as well known as Chevrolet. At any rate, we think its wrong and want to show why the Sierra deserves a spot in the war with our page showcasing the 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 vs 2015 Ford F150.
GMC Sierra Deserves More Recognition
As you can see by the table above, the 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 certainly deserves more recognition than it gets. While its fuel efficiency rating might not be that much better, nor its standard horsepower, upgrading to the bigger engine certainly does give it a fairly substantial advantage in the way of 30 horsepower. That power then translates to a small boost in max payload and massive boost to max towing capacity. One of a trucks main purposes is to be able to take a bunch of big stuff from one place to the next, so an extra 2000 lbs. 5th-wheel towing cant be overlooked.
One more huge advantage that the GMC Sierra 1500 has over the 2015 Ford F150 is its bed size. A 61 cubic foot bed can hold a lot more of whatever it is you need to transport than one with only 52.8 cubic feet. Once again, if a trucks purpose is the transportation of goods, then how can you pass something like this up?
