We wanted to pit our two favorite sporty compact coupe models against one another to see where the vehicles are similar and where they differentiate from one another, so we compared the 2015 Scion tC vs 2015 Honda Civic Si Coupe to get a better idea. Both models are visually stunning with a mix of sharp and curved edges, creating a strikingly sporty aesthetic. The differences however come in the specifications, with each model having its own advantages.
Differences Between the 2015 Scion tC, Honda Civic Si Coupe
Let’s start with where they’re similar, which is fuel efficiency. On the highway, both vehicles operate at 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres, which is pretty impressive for a sports car. But then the vehicles veer away from one another in terms of two other areas of specifications. The Scion vehicle has a leg up in regards to space, related to both cargo capacity and passenger volume. In the trunk, which generally range from 10-12 cubic feet in compact cars, the tC has an 14.7 cu. ft. trunk actually provides 3 extra cu. ft. of space for whatever you need to bring along with you.
It also has a pretty substantial advantage in terms of passenger volume, which is extremely important in such a small vehicle. Compact coupes aren’t designed to provide a ton of space to their inhabitants, but the Scion tC provides nearly 10 extra cu. ft. of space for passengers to get comfortable in. On the flip side, the 2015 Honda Civic Si Coupe has more power than the Scion tC in the way of 26 horsepower, providing a slightly more enjoyable driving experience.
