2015 Scion tC vs 2015 Kia Forte Koup
As weve stated many times in the past, the Scion brand as a whole is dedicated to creating innovative vehicles that will appeal to a younger generation of drivers while also behind affordable for them. One such vehicles is the 2015 Scion tC, a versatile vehicle within a sporty package. It offers style, speed, efficiency and space alongside its affordability, all five of which are generally important to the younger generation. We wanted to take a look at just how our compact car stacked up to another vehicle that might be able to fit into this category, so we compared the 2015 Scion tC vs 2015 Kia Forte Koup.
Specs & Features of Sporty Compacts
As we stated before, the tC is versatile in spacious. The Kia Forte Koup can claim this too, it even has a slightly bigger cabin for passengers, but wed say the tC is a little more versatile as though it has slightly less space in the cabin it has almost a foot and a half more cargo space in the boot. So thats one thing off the checklist for young drivers, whats next? Speed. While not a huge difference, the Scion tC does get the nod in terms of power specs with 6 extra horsepower and nearly 20 more foot-pounds of torque.
Perhaps the most importantly things to look at in this situation is fuel efficiency. The younger generation of drivers generally dont have huge savings accounts or a big weekly paycheck, so spending less money on gas can be a huge deal. The 2015 Scion tC takes the edge in this department with a little over one extra litre per 100 kilometres through the city and exactly one extra litre per 100 kilometres on the highway. The last category is style, and while well let you be the judge of that we certainly prefer the sporty look of the 2015 Scion tC to the Kia Koup any day.
