2015 Toyota RAV4 vs 2015 Nissan Rogue
The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most versatile compact crossovers on the market. It might not have as built-up of an off-road presence as the 4Runner, but it does have the ability to offroad while also taking on a stylish appearance that many everyday crossover buyers look for. Its susceptible to a wide array of car shoppers, enhancing its versatility. We wanted to take a look at another extremely popular crossover in comparison with our RAV4, and even though its a little bigger we decided to compare the 2015 Toyota RAV4 vs 2015 Nissan Rogue.
The Rogue is another versatile crossover, though it doesnt have much of an off-road presence at all, already giving the RAV4 a leg up. Its main advantage is fuel economy, as it does run a little more efficiently, but the RAV4s advantages outweigh that slight dip in our opinion.
Advantages of the Toyota RAV4
As you can see by looking at the table above, the RAV4 has a number of advantages that make it the smarter choice aside from simply having potential off-road capabilities. It does take the nod in horsepower, though with the Rogues tiny boost in torque you wouldnt be able to notice much of a difference. Where the real advantages come into play are in terms of capacities.
The RAV4s cargo area, with rear seats folded down, can hold up to 73.5 cubic feet worth of your items. Whether that be luggage on a quick road trip or gear for a weekend getaway, having that extra 3½ feet of space can certainly come in handy. And speaking of weekend getaways, if you ever need to take along something extra, like a dirt bike or snowmobile, being able to tow that in a trailer behind your crossover is a necessity. The extra 500 lbs. worth of towing capacity on the RAV4 makes that a much easier accomplishment. All of these advantages together make us confident that the 2015 Toyota RAV4 would be the smarter choice.
