2016 Cadillac SRX vs 2016 Acura RDX
While the Cadillac lineup is being shaken up tremendously for the 2016 model year, not every model on the lineup will be undergoing drastic changes or enhancements before release. For instance, the new Cadillac SRX will only be receiving a few minor changes and new features. In fact, the arrival of the brand new 2016 Cadillac SRX already snuck up on us and passed, as we already have them in stock at Don Wheaton. With that in mind we decided it’d be a good idea to take a look at it in comparison to another 2016 luxury crossover, so we compared the 2016 Cadillac SRX vs 2016 Acura RDX.
Those new features we mentioned kick off with a new 3.6L V6 engine delivering the specs seen above. All-wheel drive is available on all trim levels except the base, and high-intensity-discharge headlamps with adaptive forward lighting technology are standard on Premium and Performance grades. Additionally, Cadillac CUE now comes paired to an 8” display audio touchscreen and can provide a 4G LTE wi-fi connection through OnStar.
Advantages of the 2016 Cadillac SRX
You can tell by looking at the table above that both luxury crossovers are great options, and very comparable to one another. But you’ll likely also notice that even though they’re similar, the Cadillac SRX edges out the Acura RDX in every category we looked at, not the least of which being power ratings. That new engine we mentioned delivers advantages of 29 horsepower and 13 lb-ft. of torque, a sizable advantage.
Which brings us to space. Behind the back seat the Cadillac SRX can hold an extra 3.7 cubic feet of your cargo, which is quite a bit of space. The smallest advantage the SRX has over the Acura RDX is in passenger volume, where it only has an extra 0.2 cu. ft. Be sure to schedule a test drive online today!
