2016 Cadillac SRX vs 2016 BMW X3
The 2016 Cadillac SRX, is one of the finest crossovers on the road, filled to the brim with luxury features and premium specifications. It might not have the save recognition as the Escalade, but it’s actually the best-selling Cadillac vehicle in North America. We wanted to see how it measured up against another popular luxury crossover, so we decided to pit the 2016 Cadillac SRX vs 2016 BMW X3 to see which vehicle is superior and why. The midsize Cadillac SRX is in a slightly larger segment than the X3, which is a compact, but they’re often looked at as direct competitors regardless of this fact.
Advantages of the 2016 Cadillac SRX
Taking a look at the table above you can see right away that the 2016 Cadillac SRX has a larger engine beneath its hood than the 2016 BMW X3 does. While not always so, in this case that does offer a direct translation to power ratings, of which the Cadillac smokes the BMW. With over 300 horsepower, a 68-hp advantage to be exact, and a few more foot-pounds of torque, the SRX definitely delivers a more enjoyable driving experience than its competitor.
Considering the BMW X3 is belongs to a smaller segment, it certainly fares well in terms of cargo capacity. The Cadillac SRX has an extra 2.2 cubic feet of space to accommodate your luggage or whatever other cargo you might have, but the advantage could be a lot steeper than that. Of course after these areas, the decision really falls into style, which in our opinion the SRX has in spades. Of course we’re a bit biased, so that decision will have to be up to you, but if you’d like to take one for a spin yourself to see what you think, be sure to schedule a test drive right here on our website or by calling the Don Wheaton sales team.
