2016 Cadillac SRX vs 2016 Lincoln MKX
This is the last year for the Cadillac SRX, but don’t worry it’s not going far. In fact, in many ways, it’s not going away at all, it’s simply entering a new generation and taking on a different name in the process. Next year, we’ll be talking about the 2017 Cadillac XTS, but this year we’re still talking about the outstanding SRX crossover, and we thought we’d compare it to one of its competitors to show just why it’s so fantastic, so we took a closer look at the 2016 Cadillac SRX vs 2016 Lincoln MKX.
Advantages of the 2016 Cadillac SRX
The 2016 Cadillac SRX and Lincoln MKX are extremely similar vehicles, as you can tell by taking a gander at the table above. In terms of city fuel efficiency, the two vehicles are identical, meaning you won’t save much money at the gas pump one way or the other. But if you’re more interested in power, then the SRX has a slight advantage. Five extra horsepower won’t be all that noticeable, but when you combine those 5 HP with the fact that the SRX also ways 110 lbs. less, you might start to notice.
As we’ve explained before, the lighter the vehicle the less horsepower you need, so that 5 HP advantage become a little bit steeper in reality. But where the SRX truly starts to pull away with a huge advantage is in terms of passenger volume, where it offers an extra 20 cubic feet, which is an incredible amount of space for you and your passengers to stretch out and get comfortable in.
