2016 Chevy Spark St. Albert AB
Joining an already solid foundation of new models for the 2016 model year, the 2016 Chevy Spark near St. Albert AB will be entering its fourth generation and arriving in our showroom near the end of the year! The smallest vehicle on the lineup will be receiving a complete makeover, making it look more sophisticated than ever before. The all-new model will offer more efficiency, refinement, and available safety and connectivity features than previous models. It might surprise you, but the Chevy Spark is actually one of the most global vehicles on the lineup, so this new 2016 model will be offered in more than 40 different markets around the globe.
Much like changes made to the all-new Chevy Malibu, the new Chevy Spark has received a bit of extra length in the wheelbase while also cutting the heat down by 1.6 inches to create a sleeker appearance than the previous incarnation. These subtle changes reduce the aerodynamic drag, thus enhancing efficiency. But reducing the height didn’t have an effect on the generous headroom Spark drivers have come to expect thanks to small changes to the interior.
New Features in the 2016 Chevy Spark
When a vehicle enters a new generation, it obviously gains a host of new features and enhanced specifications. We wanted to focus on just a few of the great new features that will be found in the 2016 Chevy Spark. For starters, it’ll be getting an all-new 1.4L I4 Ecotec engine, coupled to either a manual or continuously variable transmission system. The CVT version will deliver an impressive 5.9 l/100km when driving on the highway, General Motors estimates.
Additionally, the new Spark will have available driver-assistive safety features like Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert. The center console will sport a 7” colour touchscreen with the next-generation version of Chevrolet MyLink, and the instrument cluster display screen will be an advanced dot-matrix LCD screen. Lastly, a comprehensive lineup of accessory packages will be made available for an unprecedented amount of personalization options. We’ll let you know as soon as we know a more specific release date, but for now expect the new vehicle sometime closer to the end of 2015.
