2016 Chevy Spark vs 2015 Ford Fiesta
There are a handful of Chevrolet vehicles undergoing major changes for the 2016 model year, and while we’re excited about all of them, the vehicle with the most exciting exterior aesthetic changes just might be the all-new 2016 Chevy Spark. As it enters its fourth generation, its as if it’s finally stepping into adulthood, shedding its childish design cues and curves for a more sophisticated, sharp design. We wanted to take a look at this new version of the Spark in comparison to one of its competitors who has seemingly always had a leg up, by taking a closer look at the 2016 Chevy Spark vs 2015 Ford Fiesta.
Advantages of the 2016 Chevy Spark
The sporty nature of the the Ford Fiesta has often jetted it out in front of the Spark in the past, but the next-generation 2016 Chevy Spark certainly has its advantages. For instance, it has very impressive highway fuel efficiency at 5.9 l/100km, which is 0.6 l/100km less than the Ford Fiesta. And while the Fiesta continues to have more power than the Spark, the Spark does have a Continuously Variable Transmission that will provide a more enjoyable driving experience than the Fiesta’s 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
In addition to that, the all-new Spark also has a suite of available driver-assistive safety features whereas the Fiesta does not. With things like Side Blind Spot Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert, you will feel much more confident and safe behind the wheel of the 2016 Chevy Spark than the 2015 Ford Fiesta.
