2016 Honda HRV vs 2015 Jeep Renegade
The brand-new 2015 Jeep Renegade was one of the most anticipated vehicles of the 2015 model year, we arent afraid to admit that. Its an exciting new vehicle, but equally as exciting is the brand-new 2016 Honda HRV which has been one of the most anticipated vehicles of the 2016 model year so far. We wanted to see how these two brand new vehicles fared against each other, as many people see the Renegade taking over the segment. But before you jump to any conclusions, take a look at the 2016 Honda HRV vs 2015 Jeep Renegade to decide for yourself, because we disagree with them.
2016 Honda HRV is Best-in-Class
The two brand new crossovers are very similar in many fashions, though we will admit the HRV probably wouldnt do quite as well off-road as the Renegade. Passenger volume in the interior is exactly the same, and the combined fuel efficiency ratings are nearly identical, though youd save a little bit of cash at the gas station by driving the Honda HRV. Whether HRV really jumps out in front of the Jeep Renegade is in terms of cargo capacity.
In the dedicated cargo area behind the back row alone, the 2016 Honda HRV has just over 5 extra cubic feet of space to hold whatever it is you need to move around. When you really need to hold a lot of stuff in either crossover, you can drop down the back seat to open up more space. But once again, the HRV has a big boost in the way of 8 extra cubic feet. Add in the Honda Magic Seat to the mix and the 2016 Honda HRV is the superior vehicle in terms of cargo capacity, which is often one of the main reasons to buy a crossover.
