2016 Chevy Camaro Release Date
Possibly one of the oldest rivalries in history, the pony wars date back decades and generations. And in the 2015 model year, the pony war looks to be reignited. A brand-new generation Ford Mustang and the addition of the jaw-dropping Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat look to truly heat up the competition. But what about Chevrolet? What about the Camaro? They were slow to start, and will deliver their hits a year late, but they’re definitely going to be turning up the heat even higher at the 2016 Chevy Camaro release date.
While the first spy photos have begun trickling in, much about the appearance of the new model is still being kept under wraps by General Motors. They want the sleek new design to be kept a secret, so that when it is finally announced and introduced it will have an even greater impact. But that doesn’t mean there hasn’t already been plenty of bread crumbs dropped to get us extremely excited for the new model.
For instance, the biggest news surrounding the new 2016 Chevy Camaro is the change to the Alpha platform. This is extremely exciting as it will bring about a reduction in size that will correct many of the issues and complaints about the current model camaro that drivers have had. Analysis of some of the spy photos has been released, and reveals that the new wheelbase is right around 109 inches. This means that the 2016 Camaro will likely see a curb-weight reduction of 300-400 pounds, which was one of the biggest errors in the current model.
Rumors are flying in every direction about the new model, but not much is certain yet. We look forward to more details and photos making their way to us, and we’ll share whatever we’re able to with you as soon as we can. Be sure to check back often for more information!
