New Buick Image
We won’t be shy about the fact that Buick acquired a certain stigma through the years. For a long time, a majority of Buick drivers were, for lack of a better term, elderly. The Buick brand adopted the unwanted moniker of “old person’s car.” Trust me, my first car was a 1997 Buick Park Avenue (that I inherited from my great grandmother). My friend’s poked fun at my granny car, and I would often be overlooked by police officers on the highway, presumably because they assumed I was just a little old lady. But General Motors decided they didn’t like the unofficial nicknames, so they set out to create a new Buick image.
And what’s the best way for a brand with a somewhat funny reputation to shed said reputation? By poking fun at it themselves. Enter the new Buick line of commercials. They’re able to laugh with everyone at the fact that they were represented as a luxury car built for your grandparents, while at the same time highlight the fact that they are definitely breaking away from that. Stylish, modern new designs on all of their models mixed with fantastic new technological advances make the new vehicles fantastic for any drive, no matter their age.
So Buick has instilled a new brand image, and we hope it sticks. Because these new cars are indeed much more than simply grandma cars. If you’re interested in picking up one of these sleek new Buick models, take a look at what’s available in our inventory.
