2015 Chevy Colorado Sport Specs and Features
One of the most anticipated new trucks of the 2015 model year is the returning Chevy Colorado. It disappeared from the Chevrolet lineup for a couple of years, but its back with a powerful bang and we can’t stop talking about it. So when General Motors unveiled a brand new trim concept at the State Fair of Texas, it generated even more buzz. That’s why we are happy to bring you information on the brand new 2015 Chevy Colorado Sport specs and features.
The concept Chevy unveiled in Texas did not offer much in the way of appearance of performance changes. It will still be offered with either the 2.5L four-cylinder engine, featuring the best fuel efficiency in the class at 8.7 l/100km, or the 3.6L V6 that delivers the most power in the segment with 305 horsepower. Not to mention the fact that i can tow up 7,000 when equipped with the trailering package. The only major change in overall appearance was the addition of unique concept wheels, confirmed to already be being evaluated for production.
The major changes in the concept come within the bed of the truck, which is equipped with a special cargo organizer not offered anywhere else in the segment, called the GearOn Accessory System. It’s geared toward making it much easier for those truck consumers who live an active lifestyle and need the advantages of versatility but don’t need a full-size truck. The system makes it a possibility to carry much larger items above the bed while still allowing room for your smaller cargo below them inside the bed.
Chevy then introduced a plethora of accessories that would be available on the Sport edition of the Colorado. These features are created by Chevrolet, and available as added accessories when ordering the vehicle. They include things such as assist steps, cargo rings, splash guards, tiered storage, bike rack, cargo divider, and wheel lip moldings.
With plenty of new options in the 2015 Chevy Colorado Sport edition, we can’t wait to get the truck on our lot. We’ll keep you updated about the model overall, this new trim, and its availability in Edmonton. Be sure to call or stop in with any further questions you might have!
