Getting your brakes checked annually is another extremely important Wheaton service, especially if you begin to hear any screeching sounds as you come to a stop. It’s definitely better to get them checked regularly rather than waiting until its too late, because if they wear down to the point that it becomes a metal-on-metal condition you’re going to be pumping out far more money than you want to. That’s why today we’re going to tell you about another Wheaton Services: brake checks.
Just in case you’re wondering why its important to get your brakes check beyond simply saving money down the road, function brakes are pivotal to your safety when driving your vehicle. Without brakes, you won’t be able to come to a complete stop when you want and could injure yourselves and others. Your brake pads and rotors wear down even in regular conditions from heat and friction, possibly leading to loss of brakes or damaging the brake system as a whole if left unchecked. So its important to get these items checked both for your safety and your bank account.
When you come in to get your brakes checked at one of our Drive Wheaton dealerships’ Service Departments, we’re going to check your brake pads (or shoes) and your brake rotors or (drums). If anything is wrong with these items, we’ll let you know and can replace or repair them as necessary. We’ll also check your brake fluid and replace this as needed as well.
