What fits in a Fit
The 2015 Honda Fit is a versatile vehicle that claims it can fit anything in its spacious cargo area, and we believe it pretty much can. Just watch some of the videos, like the one below, that showcase exactly what fits in a Fit.
With these videos in mind, we wanted to a do a little project of our own in honor of the Honda Twitter Halloween event going on today. Honda is giving out free coupons for a box of Mike and Ike candy to people who “trick-or-treat” on their Twitter account. So we thought it might be fun to figure out how many boxes of Mike and Ike’s would fit in a Fit.
For starters, let’s get a little rundown of the numbers. A standard box of Mike and Ike candy has a volume of 265.5 cubic centimetres. Behind the back seat in a 2015 Honda Fit, there is 16.6 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and if you drop the back seat like they do in the videos there’s a massive 52.7 cubic feet of space. Since the volume of the Mike and Ikes are in cubic centimetres, we’re going to do a little conversion to cubic feet which will already start to put our results in perspective. One box of Mike and Ike candy is .009 cubic feet in volume.
If that seems like a really small number, it’s because it is. So doing the math, behind the back seat you can fit 1844 boxes of Mike and Ike candy, and if you drop those seats down you can squeeze an incredible 5620 boxes! We don’t even know how to visualize that many boxes of Mike and Ike’s, and we’re not sure it’d be healthy to eat that many, but it is fun to imagine.
