2016 Cadillac CT6 vs 2015 BMW 7 Series
One of the most exciting pieces of news to come out about the 2016 model year thus far was the debut of the 2016 Cadillac CT6, a brand-new flagship sedan to sit atop the brand’s lineup of cars. The flagship vehicle of a regular brand is the closest thing to a luxury vehicle said brand gets, but the flagship of a luxury brand takes it a whole step further, becoming one of the most luxurious vehicles you could possible sit in. We wanted to compare our luxury flagship to that of another prominent luxury brand, and while we have heard that the BMW 7 Series will be entering a new generation, we haven’t gotten information about it yet, so we thought we’d take a closer look at the 2016 Cadillac CT6 vs 2015 BMW 7 Series.
Advantages of the 2016 Cadillac CT6
Both sedans have incredibly similar engines sitting beneath their hoods, with both the Cadillac and BMW housing a 3.0L V6 engine. The difference is that the CT6 engine is a twin turbo while the 7 Series is only regularly turbocharged. This means that the Cadillac sedan will have a much higher power output, delivering a currently-estimated 400 horsepower and 400 foot-pounds of torque. The BMW on the other hand only delivers a little over 300 on each front, with 315 hp and 331 lb-ft. of torque.
While a flagship is expected to have far superior performance ratings and technical specifications, it is also supposed to be filled with the most-premium features. Sound systems are generally one of those features, and the 2016 Cadillac CT6 is slated to have an incredible 34-speaker Bose Panaray system. It’s set to arrive later this year.
