2016 Honda Pilot vs 2016 Kia Sorento
While the 2016 Kia Sorento is already on the road, many details about the 2016 Honda Pilot are being held close to the chest. We have plenty of general information about the upcoming, next-generation midsize crossover utility vehicle, but detailed specifications are few and far between. Even still, we wanted to compare the two next-gen crossovers against one another to see, even with the generic information, which might have an early leg up when the Pilot hits the streets later this year. So with that in mind, we compared the 2016 Honda Pilot vs 2016 Kia Sorento
Early Advantages of the 2016 Honda Pilot
Without detailed specifications it is difficult to show with unwavering certainty the advantages one vehicle has over another. But we pulled a few facts about the upcoming Honda Pilot and compared them to the specs of the all-new Kia Sorento in a way that we can see who has the leg up. For instance, we know the Pilot will be powered by a 3.5L EarthDreams V6 engine, but the Sorento’s standard engine is only a 2.4L 4-cylinder, from which we can deduce the horsepower and torque ratings of the Pilot will probably be much higher than the Sorento’s.
Similarly, we know the length of each vehicle, and considering the 2016 Honda Pilot is nearly 10 inches longer than its segment rival, we think it’s pretty safe to assume the midsize crossover will have quite a bit more cargo capacity or passenger volume in the interior. Additionally, we know that the Pilot has the ability to sit one more, and has a standard 115-volt power outlet, both of which are pretty substantial upgrades in the crossover segment. We can’t wait until more information is revealed, and when it is we will let you know immediately!
